- It was amazing how Mrs. Livingston past away which later because I would thought she died when she fell out the window.
- The Dead did not answer back to Finch when she arrived back to the graveyard after the storm.
- The Dead left some remembrance of their presence after the storm with odd objects.
- The Dead did not appear physically after the storm ended.
- Less cats were mentioned from pages 197 to 305, maybe it's a meaning.
- Was that what Marcus wanted, his mother to die?
- Does the Vegetable man, that Finch always talked to, knows about the Dead and how she could see them?
- Were the objects left behind in the graveyard by the meant for Finch?
- In the end, could Finch see the Dead anymore?
- foyer(page 197)-noun. an entrance hall to a house or apartment.
- squelches(page 198)- verb. to crush down; squash.
- mince(page 201)-verb. to cut or chop down into very small pieces.
- ""... Marcus with the siren in his throat"(page 200). - Metaphor, it is saying Marcus's cry is similar to a siren.
- "...a child's plastic horse"(page 202)- Symbolism, a symbol of Marcus.
The aftermath of the storm lead Mrs. Livingston to die in an accident on the highway. However, it also led Finch to start a new life. It seems Finch could not see the Dead anymore but, the good is Finch could now get along with the people in her community. The story may ended, but Finch is also starting her new life with everyone else. The novel left a message in between of how we should not dilly dally in the past and to never judge one by it's cover.
