• To be a dedicated scientist, you have to REALLY love your worlk no matter what.
• It scares me how the bacterias are everywhere.
• When Burton talks to himself, it does not creep me out because we all talk to ourselves.
• Scientists are like doctors.
• Even though the book is base on a serious issue, there are some part that are entertaining.

2 Literally Devices

• "...he regretted his inability to concentrate..."(pg. 186)- Chacaterization, it is describing one of his character in himself.
• "'Mr. Jackson is a really old goat..'"(pg. 209)- Metaphor, Hall compared Jackson to a goat for he is really old and forgetful.

Summary
Each men starts to work on their part of the project. They each discover something or clus to lead them to find what caused the disease, how it attack the people and how there are two survivors.
