- Asphalt(pg.108)-noun.a mixture of such substances with gravel, crushed rock, or the like, used for paving.
- Detonation(pg. 121)-Noun.an explosion.
- Eons(pg.147)-noun.an indefinitely long period of time; an age.
- "They were not jumpsuits, but rather like sutgical uniforms..."(pg 129)-Smile, the outfit asigned to them were similar to surugical uniform.
- "...which was syrup and artificially flavored to taste like orange juice"(pg. 143)- Simile, the drink that Hall drank was like juice, but fake juice.
As Laviett, Hall, Stone and Burton arrive at the project area, they go under seriously long physical examination and a meeting of what should happen. They are not sure, but believe the Russian has something to do with the disease.
