- Life would always be unfair to everyone just like how Lucy only wanted a friends, but only been mistreated all her life.
- Finch could have just killed herself like Lucy, but for her she has the Dead to go to when she needs comfort.
- The baby Marcus seems to still be attached with his life even though he is dead and a baby.
- People would always remember their fear and scars where ever they go.
- Lucy and Finch relationship deepen through time, but somehow I could not define there relationship.
- What is baby Marcus trying to tell Finch?
- Why would the people in the community wants Blott to suffer so much when he already suffered it enough and he is already dead so let things past?
- How could Finch kiss a cat that she does not know where it came from?
- Why didn't Lucy just tell her mom that she did not want to the things her mom wanted her to do?

- "...crying as if his lungs host flames"(page 112)- Simile, comparing his cries to one that his on fire.
- "...but my voice is wrong, a lemon on a peach tree"(page 123)- Metaphor, comparing her voice is a lie like how a lemon don't grow on a peach tree.
The book seems to come to it's climax now for everything is coming together and falling. Blott's house, where all his treasure is, gets burned down by people in the town for the agreed to it. Lucy's past unfold itself more, she was sexual harass by her dad and her mom did nothing, but also she mistreat her own self. Her death was not homicide but a suicide. Though now, Finch and Lucy are not in good terms because Finch seems to has a thing for Leonard and Lucy does not like it. Lucy dislike Leonard for some reason and that reason why not be involve with Finch or Lucy.
