- Finch's town has a lot of faith in the church and God himself, but then I notice none of the folks visit the cemetery.
- Something is very suspicion about William Blott because it seems he is hiding more secrets that people would not think of.
- Finch is somewhat a hypocrite because she says the town people judge her without knowing her, but she judges Blott without getting to know him.
- The cats seems to appear everywhere, maybe it could be a symbol.
- People would see things differently such as Finch scar, it could be a scar of mistake or pain.
- Is the power of the Dead base on how they are feeling or personalities?
- Was the Mediator, Finch's first friend, appear in front of Finch, when she received the scar, because Finch needed help to live on from the pain of the burn?
- What is the meaning of Finch relationship with the cats?
- Did Reba had a thing for Blott because she treats different from others?

- "...by then it was too late for us both" (Page 79).- Foreshadowing that something will happen.
- " He's got a tumor the size of a grapefruit" (page 87).- Metaphor because it is comparing his lung to a fruit.
More past and secret are being revealed creating a more deeper understanding to the book. Finch so far mentioned her first friend, which is a ghost, who helped her have a more understanding of her scar. But also recalled that the Mediator told other ghosts, Finch belong with them since she received her scars. Finch becomes more curious of Blott and she suspects that Blott is not a man...
